Congress Information

Abstracts

All accepted abstracts are published online only in the journal ‘Hip International’, the official journal of EHS (http://journals.sagepub.com/hip-int). There will be NO printed abstract book at the congress.

Awards

The two best presentations, after due evaluation by the Scientific Committee, will receive an award granted by Hip International of 1,500 EUR and 1,000 EUR respectively. The awarded abstracts will be published as full original article/review in a forthcoming issue of “Hip International”.

Award ceremony

The Award Ceremony is scheduled on Friday, 21 September 2018, 17:30 – 17:45 h in hall Amazon. All presenting authors have to attend personally.

Certificate of Attendance

In order to receive CME credits for your congress participation you have to make sure that your badge is scanned at the entrance of each hall when entering a session – during the morning and during the afternoon. You will receive an email each day informing you about the CME credits collected, containing a link to download your certificate online.

A questionnaire regarding your congress participation needs to be filled in online. Self-printing terminals are available at the Registration desk. In order to print your certificate, please have your personalised badge at hand.

CME Credits

The 13th Congress of the European Hip Society, The Hague, Netherlands, 20/09/2018-22/09/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 19 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. Learn more >

Cloakroom

A cloakroom is available for participants in the World forum close to the Registration desk.

No liability is taken for wardrobe.

Coffee & lunch breaks

During the breaks participants will be provided with coffee, tea and water – free of charge. Snacks and drinks are also available throughout the whole meeting for a small charge at the World Café on the Ground floor.

Important: in the World Café payment is only possible by credit or debit card (no cash will be accepted!)

Congress language

Official language of the congress is English. There will be no translation of lectures.

Delegate’s badge

Your personal badge is your entrance ticket to all sessions as well as the exhibition.
Each participant receives a name badge upon the self-printing terminals at the Registration desk. Please have your Badge Express Print document at hand.
The badge is the official entrance ticket to all sessions as well as the exhibition. Please, remember to wear your badge at the congress and the social events.

In order to receive CME credits you have to make sure that your badge is scanned at the entrance of each hall when entering a session. Lost badges may only be replaced upon proof of original payment.

Filming/photography

Please note that all lectures are copyrighted in favour of the respective speaker. Therefore, visual or sound recordings require the prior consent of the speaker (Section 53, subsec 7 GCA). Any unapproved recording is unlawful and can cause compensation claims and injunctive relief by the copyright owner.

Industry exhibition

An industry exhibition will take place on the First floor at the World Forum congress centre. It will be open on Thursday from 07.30 until 20.30 h and on Friday from 07.30 until 17.30 h. 24 exhibitors will present a wide range of orthopaedic related products and services. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to be updated with the most recent advances and the latest news from our industry partners.

Insurance

Registration fees for the congress do not include any insurance. Neither the local organizing committee nor EHS Executive Committee will accept any responsibility or liability for any injuries, losses or damages sustained as a result of any cancellation, accidents, illness or other occurrences that may arise in connection with EHS congress 2018, unless occur as a result of our own negligence.

Mobile phones

All attendees are requested to turn-off or put their mobile phones in the silent mode during all scientific sessions.

No smoking

All venues for the conference are strictly no-smoking.

Speaker preparation room

The speaker preparation room is located in room Volga on First floor of the World forum.
